Overview

The Kitchen Manager at everywhere – Union Station is a leadership role responsible for running a high-quality, efficient back-of-house operation at our flagship downtown LA location. You'll be the driving force behind our kitchen culture — overseeing daily operations, managing and developing BOH staff, maintaining food quality standards, and collaborating closely with taproom leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role is ideal for an experienced kitchen leader who is passionate about food, people, and craft beverage culture.

Essential Job Duties


Operations & Quality

Oversee all BOH operations during service, including prep, line execution, and close

Maintain and enforce food safety standards and health code compliance at all times

Ensure consistent execution of menu items to recipe and plating specifications

Coordinate kitchen workflow to minimize ticket times and maximize quality


Team Management

Hire, train, schedule, and develop all BOH staff

Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture aligned with everywhere's values

Conduct regular performance check-ins and provide real-time coaching on the line

Manage and communicate staffing needs to taproom management


Inventory & Ordering

Manage food inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships

Monitor food costs and waste — identify opportunities to improve margins without sacrificing quality

Maintain accurate records of stock levels and communicate supply needs proactively


Leadership & Collaboration

Serve as the primary BOH point of contact for taproom management and ownership

Collaborate on menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings

Support new hire onboarding and cross-training across BOH roles

Represent the everywhere brand with professionalism in all internal and external interactions


Minimum Job Requirements

2+ years of kitchen management or lead cook experience in a fast-paced environment

Food Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent), or willingness to obtain

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and health code requirements

Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and food cost controls

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

$27/hour — full-time position (non-tipped role)
