Overview

The Cook at everywhere – Union Station is a key member of our back-of-house team, responsible for delivering high-quality food that matches the same care and intentionality we bring to every pour. This is a part-time role with varying hours (30 hours/week and under), and plays an important part in creating a seamless, welcoming experience for our guests at our flagship downtown LA location.

Essential Job Duties

Prepare and execute menu items to standard recipes and plating specs

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations throughout service

Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage — following all food safety protocols

Collaborate with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery

Assist with prep, inventory, and restocking as needed

Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures

Communicate proactively with the Kitchen Manager on any supply needs, equipment issues, or service concerns


Minimum Job Requirements

Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred

Food Handler's Card (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Team-oriented attitude with a positive, professional demeanor

Passion for or curiosity about craft beer and food culture a plus


Compensation & Benefits

$23/hour + participation in tip pool (80/20 FOH/BOH split)

Holiday pay on 6 set company holidays (available in handbook)
