Position Summary

Evermore seeks a temporary, full-time Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day operations and program administration through December 2026. This grant-funded position plays a key role in keeping our small team organized and effective, handling a mix of office administration, scheduling, and program support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable juggling a variety of tasks in a mission-driven environment. This position must resident in Washington, D.C., Virginia, or Maryland, but will be mostly remote.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and document preparation
  • Maintain organizational records, databases, and shared files with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support meeting logistics: scheduling, materials preparation, note-taking, and follow-up
  • Assist with program and event coordination, including vendor communications and attendee logistics
  • Process routine paperwork including invoices, reimbursements, check requests, and expense documentation in coordination with finance staff
  • Assist with contracts and other file management
  • Respond to general inquiries via phone and email, routing as appropriate
  • Support grant-related reporting and documentation as needed
  • Other duties as assigned to support organizational operations


Qualifications

Required:


  • 1-2 years of administrative or office support experience, preferably with nonprofit organizations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands


Salary

$24 - $28 per hour
