As a Line Cook at Evergreen Brewery, you’ll be a key part of a kitchen known for delivering food that goes well beyond typical brewery expectations. This is a high-energy role where consistency, urgency, organization, and strong culinary fundamentals are essential. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure every plate leaving the kitchen reflects our standards for quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Food Execution
Prepare and cook menu items consistently and efficiently while following Evergreen Brewery recipes, plating standards, and quality expectations.
Fast-Paced Kitchen Performance
Work effectively in a high-volume service environment while maintaining speed, composure, and attention to detail during busy shifts.
Station Ownership
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station before, during, and after service to ensure seamless execution.
Quality Control
Ensure all dishes meet presentation, temperature, portioning, and quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
Team Collaboration
Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service flow and support the overall team.
Food Safety & Sanitation
Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards, including proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature controls.
Prep & Inventory Awareness
Assist with prep work, stocking, rotation, and notifying kitchen leadership of low inventory or product needs.
Equipment & Workspace Care
Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
Events & Specials Support
Assist with special events, seasonal menu changes, and promotional offerings as needed.
Experience
Previous line cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant, brewery, or hospitality environment strongly preferred.
Work Ethic
Reliable, hardworking, and able to maintain urgency and consistency throughout demanding shifts.
Culinary Fundamentals
Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, food safety, and proper station management.
Team Mentality
Positive attitude, strong communication, and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a hot fast-paced kitchen, and safely lift/move heavy kitchen supplies and equipment.
Availability
Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
