The Floater Teacher assists in various classrooms throughout the day, providing support to lead teachers and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in classrooms with children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.
Maintain active supervision and ensure children’s safety at all times.
Help implement daily schedules, activities, and routines.
Support meal, snack, diapering, toileting, and nap-time procedures.
Assist with classroom transitions and playground supervision.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and common areas.
Cover classrooms during teacher breaks, planning time, absences, or staff meetings.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and school policies.
Assist with special events and school activities as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 18 years of age.
Fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
Passion for working with young children.
Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.
Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
