We are looking for an energetic, organized and professional Event Assistant Managers to provide support to our Event Managers in supervising and managing banquets, receptions, weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, social events and many more.

Description

As an Event Assistant Manager, you will be the right-hand man or woman to the Event Manager. An Event Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in managing, planning and coordinating all aspects of the event. To be a successful Event Assistant Manager, you should have strong communicational skills, be a great team worker, and demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.


Expectations 

  • Following the Event Manager’s assignments during the event. 
  • Assisting in managing of all the aspects of the event including the load in/out, full set up of space, serving guests on a high-level standard, closing and cleaning following the venue rules.  
  • Assigning and directing work for catering employees. 
  • Providing staff with the necessary training, including customer service, serving etiquette, event information. 
  • Running the floor and coordinating the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff. 
  • Complies with Health Department rules and regulation, EVENTFULLNYC standards and venue rules. 
  • Use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.


Requirements 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ fine dining or catering experience as an Event Assistant Manager or similar 
  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Great time management and multitasking abilities, attention to details 
  • Physically fit with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting up to 40lbs and standing for long periods of time 
  • Willingness and availability to work long hours and flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings 
  • Able to travel to work at multiple locations throughout the New York Metropolitan area 


Salary

$30 - $35 per hour
