Description:

We are seeking motivated and curious West Michigan-based adult contractors to join our dynamic team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in learning and applying cutting-edge technology approaches.

Digital Innovators work remotely in teams (openLabs), where they are provided with real-life business problems and iterate on solutions with the support of other collaborators and a coach. Innovators build solutions using artificial intelligence, immersive/gaming technology, software development, data management, and quality assurance approaches.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with other digital collaborators and coaches to learn about real-world problems, build collaborative solutions, and improve solutions iteratively.
2. Utilize user-centered design, story-telling, game theory, psychology, and empathy to build solutions that people enjoy.
3. Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of software solutions to ensure fast adoption, optimal performance, usability, and reliability.
4. Assist in data logistics tasks, including data cleaning, validation, and transformation, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in our software solutions.
5. Contribute to the creation and improvement of 3D simulations and immersive experiences, using industry-standard authoring tools and techniques.
6. Participate in regular remote team communication and discussions, providing clear and concise updates on progress, and feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement on both software solutions and work practices.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.
8. Participate at live, in-person events to build the West Michigan innovation community.

Requirements:

1. Current resident of Michigan. We are only able to accept applications from residents of Greater Grand Rapids and the following West Michigan counties: Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, and Ottawa.
2. Adult (18 years or older).
3. High school diploma or GED.
4. Documentation to verify authorization to work as an independent contractor in the U.S.
5. Currently enrolled in college or university, or relevant work experience.
6. Completion of Casual Simulation practice permit learning or equivalent experience.
7. Interest in learning more about programming, such as Javascript.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a remote team environment.
10. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Compensation:

$12 - $20 per hour, depending on experience
