Description

Front Desk Duties

  • Greet and check in/check out patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries
  • Verify insurance information and obtain referrals/authorizations when needed
  • Collect copays and balances and maintain accurate patient records
  • Manage patient flow and assist with coordination of daily schedules
  • Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Medical Assistant Duties

  • Room patients and obtain medical history, medications, and vital signs
  • Assist the provider with dermatologic examinations and procedures
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms and instruments
  • Educate patients on medications, wound care, and treatment plans
  • Assist with biopsies, surgeries, injections, phototherapy, and cosmetic procedures as needed
  • Process prescription refills, laboratory orders, and pathology requests
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper sterilization procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology practice preferred
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and basic medical terminology
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and attention to detail
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but not required
