Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality tax planning and advisory services
- Complete technical review of all tax returns; business, individual, estates, and trusts
- Supervision and training of tax preparers
- Support the growth of the tax practice by assisting with thought leadership and proposals
- Plan and manage client workflow for the tax department
- Manage financial performance of and risk associated with engagements, including budgeting, billing, and collections on projects
- Research complex tax issues using Internet-based research tools and communicate the results of that research clearly
- Internal consulting on tax issues for our partners and staff
- Keep current on new developments in tax law and regulations and communicate important current developments to firm and clients
- Build new and existing client relationships
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of US Taxation
- Experience with partnerships, corporations, individual, estate, and fiduciary taxation
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Skills and abilities:
- Strong project and people management skills, or a passion for developing them
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and delegate responsibility
- Ability to work directly with clients
- Working knowledge of complex tax preparation systems
