Job Summary

Substitute Teachers at ESN provide meaningful instruction and classroom management in the absence of a regular teacher. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting a nurturing learning environment.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver lesson plans provided by the teacher or team
  • Maintain classroom routines and expectations
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of students at all times
  • Communicate any notes or concerns from the day to school leadership
  • Follow ESN's behavior expectations and emergency procedures

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • Prior teaching, substitute teaching, or childcare experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with children in a positive and supportive way
  • Flexibility and dependability a must

Schedule & Compensation

  • Assignments vary in length and grade level (3K–8th Grade)
  • Substitutes may be contacted on short notice
