Episcopal School of Nashville is seeking an exceptional Kindergarten Lead Teacher for the 2026-27 academic school year and beyond. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful listener, who is able to effectively motivate and teach 5 and 6 year old students with diverse learning needs and abilities in a play-based classroom. An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and families, both orally and in writing, is essential. Professionalism, a positive outlook, a good sense of humor, and a student-centered approach are highly valued. We seek a colleague who enjoys being part of a highly collaborative team, with a commitment to interdisciplinary projects and innovative pedagogy.

A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Early Childhood Education. Experience in play-based curriculum development, at least three years of full-time Early Childhood teaching experience, and a master’s degree are preferred. Comfort and familiarity with the use of relevant technology to enhance learning are also essential.
