Episcopal School of Nashville is seeking an exceptional Early Childhood Assistant Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic school year. The ideal candidate will be an aspiring or experienced educator capable of meeting each child’s needs and supporting the lead teacher in a play-based classroom of 3, 4, or 5 year olds. In addition, the ideal candidate is a thoughtful listener, who is able to effectively motivate and teach Early Childhood-age students with diverse learning needs and abilities. An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and families, both orally and in writing, is essential. Professionalism, a positive outlook, a good sense of humor, and a student-centered approach are highly valued. We seek a colleague who enjoys being part of a highly collaborative team, with a commitment to interdisciplinary projects and innovative pedagogy. All candidates must be willing to embrace and implement the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching and learning.
