About Entitled Futures

Entitled Futures (eF) is a culturally responsive, community based mental health organization serving youth and young adults ages 12 to 25, with wraparound support for the caregivers and adults in their lives.

Founded in 2019 in Oakland and now serving communities across the Bay Area, we go to the youth and families we serve, showing up onsite alongside our partner organizations. We operate not as a separate clinic, but as a consistent, welcoming presence inside the environments that make it easy for youth and families to find us.

About the Role

We are seeking part time recent graduates from accredited master's programs who are looking to earn supervised clinical hours toward licensure. Associates provide direct mental health support to youth, young adults, families, and adults onsite at our partner locations across the Bay Area. Current sites include East Oakland, West Oakland, Emeryville, and Hercules.

We are hiring English speaking associates, as well as bilingual associates who speak Spanish or Arabic, to meet the needs of the communities we serve. This is a unique opportunity to gain clinical hours in a real world, community centered environment under licensed supervision.

Clinical Focus Areas

Associates may choose one or more of the following focus areas:

  • Youth and Adolescents: Provide therapy to children and teens, supporting emotional resilience, identity development, and mental health within school and community settings.
  • Adults and Parents/Caregivers: Work with adults, especially those raising or supporting children, to process trauma, stress, and intergenerational patterns that impact family wellbeing.
  • Justice Impacted Adults: Offer therapy and support for adults reentering the community or impacted by the justice system, focusing on healing, resilience, and breaking cycles of trauma.
  • Intersectional Focus: Work holistically across all three areas, supporting youth, caregivers, and justice impacted adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry a caseload of youth, young adults, or adults for individual counseling, based on your clinical focus
  • Provide family support, consultation, and therapeutic intervention when appropriate
  • Work cooperatively with partner site staff, including school personnel
  • Support wellness education and outreach at partner sites when needed
  • Keep accurate, timely clinical records, including documentation, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Maintain trauma informed, culturally responsive practices in all work with clients and families

Qualifications

  • Recent master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited program
  • Registered with BBS as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC, or registration pending (must be registered before your start date)
  • Eligible to enroll as a Medi-Cal rendering provider (we will support enrollment)
  • Comfortable working onsite at multiple community locations and adapting to changing needs
  • Interest in community based mental health
  • Commitment to mental health equity
  • We are hiring English speaking associates, as well as bilingual associates who speak Spanish or Arabic

What We Offer

  • Weekly individual and/or group clinical supervision by a licensed clinician, at no cost to you
  • Flexible part time schedule
  • Real world training in community based mental health
  • Opportunity for continued employment after licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)
