Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with company objectives
• Perform detailed financial modeling and analysis to support business decisions
• Prepare and analyze budget variance reports, forecasts, and financial metrics
• Develop and maintain project-based financial tracking systems

Government Contract Management

• Ensure compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements
• Maintain accurate contract billing and revenue recognition procedures
• Oversee government contract pricing and rate calculations
• Monitor and report on contract performance metrics

Accounting Operations

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes including AR/AP, general ledger, and month-end close
• Oversee payroll administration and time-keeping systems
• Conduct regular account reconciliations and maintain proper documentation
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP

Compliance & Controls

• Implement and maintain internal control systems
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
• Manage external audit relationships and requirements
• Oversee timekeeping compliance and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience with government contract accounting
• Strong knowledge of DCAA compliance requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• CPA preferred

Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated experience with government contract accounting and DCAA compliance
• Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations
• Excellence in financial modeling and analysis
• Experience with project-based accounting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Working Arrangements
