Position Summary 

Why is this position important to the company? EngineeRD is constantly undergoing process improvements to meet new demands in industries. As part of the business development, the financial operations such as financial accounting and compliance must be evaluated, designed, and transformed. This internship will allow the company to train its next generation of digital transformation workforce while discovering better business processes through work-study.  

As a startup, EngineeRD is excited to offer this internship program as a short-term introduction to more jobs in the company. Initially, the intern will receive skills training, industry education and professional practice, with dedicated professional development coaching from senior staff. At the end of the internship, and upon successful recommendation from the senior staff, the intern may receive the opportunity for part-time or full-time employment.  

Minimum Requirements 

  • Associate degree or Pending Bachelor’s Degree in areas of Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent  
  • Exposure or professional experience in using tax accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online 
  • Academic or professional experience using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure  

 

Responsibilities 

  • Weekly data entry on all billable accounts for clients using time keeping tools such as QuickBooks Time or Unanet. 
  • Monthly processing of sales invoices using QuickBooks Online.  
  • Monthly review of monthly financial report provided by QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping team. 
  • As-needed interactions with QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping team through online chat to resolve inquiries on expenses or financial transactions. 
  • Monthly reconciliation of transactions and proper coding of expenses   

 

 

Benefits and Wages 

No wages will be offered during the internship.  

FLSA and Employment Status 

Employment will be temporary, between 10-12 hours per week.
