ENGINE is currently seeking talented, energetic College Recruiting Agents for our Admissions team.


As a College Recruiting Agent, you are the first point of contact for prospective students and play a vital role in their success.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions and Non-Essential Functions:

Telephone:


a.      Answer all inquiry calls from potential students interested in receiving information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards.

b.      Understand the rationale behind and follow the spirit of the script outlined in “The Graduate Enrollment Process Initial Phone Contact.”

c.      Make inquiry calls promptly to all potential students to provide information about the programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards.

d.      Follow the approved script and set the appointment.

e.      Follow up on all inquiries that fail to schedule or show for an appointment.

 

Interview Prospective Students:

a.      Properly utilize the approved “Graduate Enrollment Process” in all interviews using the appropriate computer assisted presentation.

b.      Greet prospective student with a warm opening.

c.      Establish a relationship with the candidates by following the GEP Process: Probe, listen, give good feedback and encourage.

d.      Uncover all obstacles and suggest solutions when they surface.

e.      Give compliant outcome-oriented school and career information.

f.       Demonstrate the value of an education and training and talk about investment in education.


Enrollment Forms (see that the prospective student completes):

a.      Complete Enrollment Agreement.

b.      Complete Application For Admissions.

c.      Complete High School or GED Transcript Request Forms.

d.      Complete College Transcript Request Forms - if applicable.

e.      Complete Specific Program Checklist as required.

f.       Complete Health Forms.

g.      Complete Employer Release Form.

h.      Complete Wonderlic Entrance Exam Score.

 


Financial Aid Information

a.        Introduce prospective student to the Financial Aid Officer.

b.        Assist financial aid to ensure that the financial aid package is complete.


Follow up:

a.      Make contact with new enrollees within 72 hours after enrollment.

b.      Contact weekly thereafter to assist with their preparation for orientation and the first day of class.

c.      Properly document the follow up.

 

Enrollment:

a.          Enroll students whose academic background and/or tested abilities would indicate an aptitude and desire to successfully complete the chosen curriculum.

b.          Acquire two recommendations from the enrollee at time of enrollment of others who may benefit from post-secondary education and training to pursue their career dreams.

c.          Acquire inquiries of prospective students from personally developed sources.

d.          Assist with and attend orientation of new students.

 

Attitude:

a.      Professional (dress, ethics, follow schedule, etc.).

b.     Be able to assist other admission reps when needed by interviewing and giving applicant tours; be a team player.

c.      Meet weekly, monthly and yearly process and activity requirements.


Successful candidates will have:

  • High school diploma (or Associates degree preferred);
  • At least 6 months of related experience (In/Out Bound, Account Management, Retail Sales) preferred;
  • A drive for results and a strong desire to improve people’s lives through education;
  • Ability to connect easily with new people and gain personal acceptance;
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and deal with ambiguity;
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and customer service skills;
  • Ability to listen, understand and overcome obstacles;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Experience with the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and ability to toggle between multiple screens.

Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year
