Provider Liaison

Position Overview
Provider Liaison role manages provider relationships, supports scheduling and availability workflows, monitors documentation and compliance, resolves issues, and ensures providers have the tools and information needed to deliver high‑quality services.as the primary point of contact for active 1099 providers, ensuring they receive timely support, clear communication, and consistent guidance throughout their engagement with Empower Mental Health. The position requires strong communication skills, operational awareness, and the ability to build trust‑based relationships with providers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for active 1099 providers
- Request and submit monthly provider availability
- Manage schedule change requests and coordinate with internal/external schedulers
- Ensure provider calendars are optimized and accurate
- Support providers with day‑to‑day questions, workflow guidance, and issue resolution
- Ensure providers feel supported, informed, and connected to the organization
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships to improve retention and engagement
Relationship Management
- Maintain ongoing communication with providers to ensure satisfaction and engagement
- Deliver updates, reminders, and organizational announcements
- Provide timely responses to provider questions and concerns
- Support provider engagement initiatives including check‑ins, feedback loops, and recognition efforts
- Provide additional support to new providers during their early activation period
Service / Program Support
- Ensure providers understand documentation standards, timelines, and expectations
- Monitor documentation completion and accuracy; follow up on missing or late notes
- Support providers with billing questions, coding clarification, and workflow issues
- Flag compliance risks including missing notes, incomplete documentation, or expired credentials
- Ensure providers have the tools, access, and information needed to perform effectively
Administrative & Reporting
- Track provider performance indicators including documentation timeliness, cancellations, and utilization
- Maintain accurate provider records, communication logs, and performance notes
- Coordinate with Credentialing, Onboarding, and Clinical Ops on provider readiness and compliance
- Track recurring issues and recommend process improvements
- Prepare weekly/monthly updates for leadership
Issue Resolution & Escalation Management
- Troubleshoot provider issues related to systems, scheduling, billing, or partner concerns
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve issues quickly
- Escalate complex or high‑risk issues to leadership when needed
- Identify trends and recurring issues to support continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience in provider support, healthcare operations, or administrative coordination
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple providers and workflows simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and coordinate cross‑functionally
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Preferred
- Experience working with clinical providers or 1099 contractors
- Familiarity with scheduling workflows, documentation standards, or billing processes
- Background in behavioral health, healthcare, or medical‑legal environments
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting multi‑state provider networks
- Familiarity with EHR systems, scheduling platforms, or provider workflow tools
- Experience in high‑volume, fast‑paced operational environments
