Job Overview:
Empower Pathways Adult Day Program is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support young adults with disabilities in community integration and life skills development. In this role, you will work with a 3:1 ratio of clients, helping them participate in daily activities, social outings, and building essential life skills such as communication, time management, and self-care. Key Responsibilities:
Support a 3:1 ratio of clients
Assist clients in participating in community activities, such as outings, events, and social gatherings, to promote socialization and independence.
Provide guidance and support to clients in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Help clients learn how to manage their time and make decisions, enhancing their autonomy.
Provide transportation for clients to and from the program (must have a vehicle for pick-up and drop-off).
Maintain accurate records of client progress, activities, and any incidents.
Encourage positive social interactions and foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (required for client pick-up and drop-off).
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
$20 - $20 per hour
