We are looking for someone to join our growing team to help develop complete CNC processes using NX CAM. You will get to work on interesting client-facing projects to help increase efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing industry.
Empire Dynamics was founded in 2015 in Albany, New York. Starting as a single-person consulting company serving the machine tool industry, Empire has grown into a well-recognized 10-person manufacturing engineering team serving all sectors of the CNC machining industry. Primarily through the deployment of NX CAM, Siemens Motion Control Software, and turnkey CNC solutions, we bring real world manufacturing experience to the production of real parts.
We are now recognized around the world for creating NX Productivity Environments, which are machine- and customer-specific NX CAM environments designed to streamline the development of CNC manufacturing processes. We take pride in the CNC technology we have developed and our ability to put it to use in a practical manufacturing setting.
Our team is a motivated group of critical thinkers that collectively wants to see change where change is due, and we spend our days working to realize that for ourselves and our customers.
You will work on a variety of machines relating to milling, turning, mill-turns, grinding, additive, grinding, and specialty machines. This position requires someone who is willing to dive in and learn about a wide range of unique machines and take on large turn-key machining projects for our customers.
Work will be performed within NX Productivity Environments developed in-house by the Empire Dynamics team. You will be expected to actively contribute to testing, improving the environments, assisting customers with understanding and using the environments, and developing CAM files using the Empire Dynamics conventions set forth by the team.
Your work will heavily involve NX CAM but will extend to all the aspects of CAM work including tooling selection, digitizing of tools for use in NX CAM, fixture design, interacting with vendors, creation of work instructions and setup sheets, and program runoff at the customer site.
