Campus Pastor

The heartbeat of our church is to relentlessly reach the next person for Jesus. The Sioux Falls area is one of the fastest-growing cities in America. By 2031, we hope to reach 5% of Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities for Jesus. That 5% would be 12,500 people for Jesus! 


Full-Time | 40 hours per week

The Campus Pastor provides visionary, pastoral, and operational leadership for the campus. This role is responsible for leading staff and volunteers, implementing the mission and strategy of Embrace Church, and creating a culture that relentlessly reaches the next person for Jesus. The Campus Pastor oversees campus ministry leaders and ensures alignment with the vision, values, and strategies of Embrace.

Responsibilities

Vision & Leadership

  • Champion and communicate the vision and values of Embrace Church.
  • Lead the campus in relentlessly reaching the next person for Jesus.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for campus staff including:
  • Associate Campus Director
  • Kids Ministry Coordinator
  • Youth Ministry CoordinatorBuild and develop strong volunteer teams and leaders across all ministries.
  • Create a healthy staff culture that develops leaders and multiplies volunteers.

Ministry Oversight

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all campus ministries including Groups, Kids, Youth, and Guest Services.
  • Ensure excellence in weekend services and ministry environments.
  • Partner with central ministry teams to implement church-wide strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and outreach within the campus community.

Campus Growth & Strategy

  • Lead campus initiatives that drive spiritual growth, attendance growth, and volunteer development.
  • Monitor and be accountable to campus health metrics such as attendance, volunteer engagement, and group participation.
  • Collaborate with central leadership to implement strategic initiatives and improvements.

Pastoral Leadership

  • Shepherd and care for the campus congregation.
  • Provide pastoral care including baptisms, communion, weddings, funerals, and care situations.
  • Be visible and relational within the church community.

Communication

  • Provide on-stage communication during weekend services (welcome, CP spot, dismissal, announcements).
  • Serve as a primary voice and presence for the campus.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in church-wide leadership meetings and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in ministry or organizational leadership.
  • Ability to lead staff teams and develop volunteer leaders.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead growing ministries.
