Job Description: Licensed Rehabilitation Specialist

Reports to: Program Director

Department: Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program


Summary/Objective

The Licensed Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for evaluating the social adjustment and vocational needs of individuals with mental or emotional disturbances. They develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans, act as a consultant for other mental health professionals and agencies, and perform related duties as required.


Key Responsibilities


- Ensure the delivery of consumer-centered services to all consumers.

- Provide excellent consumer service to stakeholders of the Excellent Healthcare & PRP Services.

- Continuously improve behavioral health treatment processes and operations.


Job Duties & Responsibilities


- Provide technical oversight to the Rehabilitation Program to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.

- Develop diagnostic procedures to assess clients' needs.

- Maintain accurate records and case files, including documentation of services provided and client progress.

- Develop rehabilitation plans tailored to clients' abilities, education levels, and career goals.

- Collaborate with clients to establish goals and develop rehabilitation programs.

- Monitor and track client progress to ensure goals are met.

- Coordinate evaluations with other professionals to gather information for rehabilitation plans.

- Review and sign off on documentation submitted by Family Service Coordinators.

- Provide technical oversight to group plans and activities to meet program standards.

- Collaborate with clients' families to implement rehabilitation plans.

- Develop relationships with community referral sources.

- Uphold organization values and codes of conduct.

- Assist management as requested.

- Attend scheduled clinical supervision meetings.

- Comply with all administrative and clinical policies, including confidentiality regulations.

- Participate in staff meetings and briefs with the President.

- Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervise Family Service Coordinators.


Work Environment

Office and community settings, including clients' homes. Routine use of office equipment.


Physical Demands

Talking, hearing, standing, walking, and using hands.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time position with occasional weekend work.


Travel

Primarily local travel during the business day.


Education and Experience


- Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health, or related field.

- Valid license as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker or Professional Counselor.

- At least one year of professional experience in mental health rehabilitation counseling.
