We are seeking dependable and experienced Snow Plow Drivers to join our team for the winter season. As a Snow Plow Driver at Elites Lawn and Snow, your primary responsibility will be to operate snow plow trucks and other snow removal equipment to clear driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks during winter storms. Your efforts will help maintain the safety and functionality of our clients' outdoor spaces.
Description
- Operate snow plow trucks, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clear snow and ice from designated areas, including driveways, parking lots, and walkways, while following safety guidelines.
- Monitor weather conditions to ensure a prompt response to snow and ice events.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of plow trucks and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as necessary, reporting any significant issues to the maintenance team.
- Follow established routes and schedules to provide effective snow removal services.
- Maintain clear communication with the dispatcher, supervisors, and fellow team members to coordinate efforts and report any issues or delays.
- Load and unload salt or sand onto trucks and apply materials as needed for ice control.
- Maintain accurate records, including time logs, maintenance reports, and incident reports.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, including snowplow operation laws.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries professionally.
- Previous experience operating snow plow trucks and winter maintenance equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of snow and ice removal techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including cold temperatures and inclement weather.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary
$25 - $30 per hour
