• Operate snow plow trucks, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clear snow and ice from designated areas, including driveways, parking lots, and walkways, while following safety guidelines.
• Monitor weather conditions to ensure a prompt response to snow and ice events.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of plow trucks and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as necessary, reporting any significant issues to the maintenance team.
• Follow established routes and schedules to provide effective snow removal services.
• Maintain clear communication with the dispatcher, supervisors, and fellow team members to coordinate efforts and report any issues or delays.
• Load and unload salt or sand onto trucks and apply materials as needed for ice control.
• Maintain accurate records, including time logs, maintenance reports, and incident reports.
• Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, including snowplow operation laws.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries professionally.
• Previous experience operating snow plow trucks and winter maintenance equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of snow and ice removal techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including cold temperatures and inclement weather.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
