What you will do
- Author the inspection and test plan (ITP) for every LV package: hold points, test methods, pass criteria, required documentation.
- Hold the division of labor: the contractor tests and documents 100% of the work; EIG witnesses a sample of terminations plus every failure and every re-test.
- Review all contractor test results: Tier 1 loss and length, Tier 2 OTDR where specified, polarity, end-face inspection, copper certification.
- Set inbound material inspection standards so defects are caught at the dock, not in the hall.
- Log non-conformances, track them to closure and report trends by contractor, crew and hall.
- Verify labeling and administration against ANSI/TIA-606 and owner standards.
- Own the certified turnover package for each hall: test records, as-builts, labeling records, warranty documents.
- Direct Site Engineers on witness inspections and sampling.
- Report quality metrics at the weekly owner review and each milestone readiness review.
What you bring
- 10+ years in low voltage or ICT, including 4+ in a dedicated quality, commissioning or test role on data centers.
- Expert with fiber certification: Fluke, EXFO or VIAVI platforms, OTDR trace interpretation, IEC 61300-3-35 end-face grading, MPO testing.
- Working command of TIA-568, TIA-526-14, TIA-606 and BICSI 002.
- Experience writing an ITP and running a non-conformance process from open to close.
- Independent judgment. You will sometimes be the person who says a hall is not ready.
- Procore, Bluebeam and test-result management software such as LinkWare Live.
Preferred
- RCDD or BICSI Technician.
- ASQ CQA or CQE, or equivalent quality credential.
- Manufacturer warranty program experience (Corning, CommScope, Panduit).
- OSHA 30.
Location and travel
Remote (US), with regular travel to the project site in Mason County, West Virginia. Travel and lodging covered per EIG policy.
