The Gift Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the gift shop, including merchandising, inventory management, sales, and employee leadership. This role is essential in creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances customer experience while driving sales and ensuring the shop's profitability.

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Position: Gift Shop Manager
Status: Full-Time (30-40 hrs/wk), Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: Up to $24.50 DOE + End of the year Bonus
Elevated Business Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Gift Shop Manager for our client, a vibrant retail establishment dedicated to providing a unique shopping experience that reflects the spirit of the community. We are looking for a passionate leader to join their team and drive the success of the gift shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review P&L statements monthly to ensure the Gift Shop is meeting its profit margins and goals. Present monthly analysis to Supervisor.
- Design and enhance the gift shop's ambience to create a welcoming shopping environment.
- Oversee merchandise displays, inventory management, and special promotions.
- Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, and financial accountability.
- Lead, train, and evaluate a motivated sales team, fostering a positive work culture.
- Develop and grow the online Gift Shop Store
- Collaborate with leadership to discuss performance and growth opportunities.
- Develop innovative ideas for product offerings and improvements, including developing brand merchandise with Marketing Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience.
- Strong customer service orientation and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Square POS and Inventory Management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
