Supervisor: Transfer Coordinator
Being the a Transfer Technician is an opportunity to put yourself out there and connect with families and those we serve and work with within the community. As the 1st Call, you will take the lead when calls come in and when arriving on the scene. This is to ensure everything is done correctly, safely, and professionally from the first notification of transfer to the end.
Basic Requirements:
- On Call 12 Hour Shifts – Day or Nights, including Holidays
- Responding to Local 1st calls
- Can respond to either Holding Facility within 20 min
- Can lift up to 75 lb, can maneuver with another person 250+lbs
- Valid Driver’s License & Vehicle Insurance – Need to provide copies
- Can meet the company dress code
- Can maneuver through multiple apps
- Can communicate and lead the call
Tech 1 Requirements
- Responding to answering service calls after hours.
- Assessing the call: Call Back? Family Present? Location?
- Redispatching any Family Calls or Out of Town Calls to the Funeral Director
- Coordinating Additional Assistance
- Dispatching Tech 2
- Taking Lead when on Scene
- Talking to the Family Point of Contact
- Talking to the Officials, such as hospital staff or coroners
- Communication with Tech 2 on assessed removal plan
- Communicate with family with the plan, and what to expect
- When the call is complete
- Location updated and Notes left in organizational software
- All equipment is in functional order
- Communicate any details (equipment or the call) with the Transfer Coordinator After Hours
- if needed.
- All Doors are closed, locked and alarms set
Compensation - Hourly for meetings and training. Calls at a fixed rate per call with a mileage allowance for calls exceeding 25 miles one way. Cell phone stipend available based on position.
