Job Summary:
Eggs Unlimited is a family-owned company headquartered in Irvine, California. We are one of the largest egg companies in the USA, operated by a team of driven, customer-oriented, experienced individuals. We utilize our extensive experience spanning all aspects of the egg industry from farming to purchasing to freight and logistics. We are expanding at an exponential rate and are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage all finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry / commodity familiar with supply chains into retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and the food service industry. It is also preferable that the candidate has experience of working within a smaller or start up environment that required a “hands on mindset” with the ability to scale the accounting department whilst keeping up with the demands of a rapidly expanding company.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Financial risk management.
- Lead accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Development and adherence of corporate accounting policies ensuring compliance with GAAP for all financial reporting, while staying abreast of accounting regulation changes.
- Manage and comply with local, multi-state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the accounting team and structure.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent required, Master’s a plus.
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
- 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Solid working knowledge of tax reporting, including multi-state and shareholder.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- ERP systems implementation experience, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly desirable.
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required.
- Requires in-person work Monday - Friday. Based out of Irvine, CA.

- Base Salary: $200,000 to $275,000 per year + discretionary annual bonus.
