Description

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Project Management

• Lead and manage multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including work plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure timely and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Technical Leadership

• Provide expert technical guidance to the engineering team on MEP and building automation systems.

• Oversee the development of construction documents, equipment specifications, and controls sequences.

• Conduct quality reviews of engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Client and Business Development

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

• Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.

• Represent the company at project meetings and industry events.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 10+ years of relevant building system experience.

• Proven experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems.

• Extensive knowledge of building automation systems (design, programming, testing, and maintenance).

• Strong leadership and project management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for sustainability and building efficiency.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.


Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Controls testing experience.

• Commissioning project experience.

• Engineering design experience.

• Experience working as a building owner.

• Experience working on projects in the higher education, governmental, commercial, and healthcare industries.

• Registration as Professional Engineer (PE).

• Experience managing high performance building projects.

• Experience with B3, LEED, WELL and other sustainable programs.

• Additional industry certifications in addition to PE.
