Efferent Labs® offers a live, cellular data acquisition platform that will radically alter the landscape of preclinical research. Our flexible platform technology, CytoComm®, allows the researcher to prescribe the target of interest. The sensor platform is then implanted within an animal, providing real-time molecular level data that has until now, been unobtainable. The ability for the CytoComm® platform to be easily tailored to the target of interest provides an extremely valuable tool in preclinical research.

Efferent Labs is a bio-technology company that relies heavily on data. To this end, we are in need of a full stack developer that has a vast and open level of talent. The candidate must have the ability to develop web applications that fit the company needs as we grow.

This job in NOT remote. You will be part of a Charleston, SC based team required to work in our facility.

Minimum proficiency is:

Frontend frameworks

Backend technologies

Databases and web storage

Git/GitHub

HTTP and REST

Some backend languages include Python, Java, PHP, Ruby

Other areas:

• Reviewing the data structure, so you know how to organize your components.
• Researching different packages to solve a problem, like formatting dates or avoiding mutating complex states.
• Looking through the existing code to be sure you understand it, as well as making sure you really understand the task.

You need to know SQL and or other Data Bases.

Must have familiarity with the AWS environment. You need to know Docker, and other applications or be able to come up to speed at a quick pace.

Perfect candidate must be able to operate independently as well as under direction.

You will be required to learn our products and how they work. What are cell lines? How are they used in our platform? This is complex platform and you must be willing to rollup your sleeves and learn.

There is NO RELOCATION so if hired you must be able to get to Charleston SC area before starting position. We are flexible in start date.
