About Earth
We're the creators of soil transformation, an environmentally-friendly alternative to burial and cremation. Over a 30-45 day process, we gently transform a body into nutrient-rich soil. Families receive a portion of this soil - to scatter or plant - and the remaining soil is sent to conservation land that we acquire, to restore and protect it for future generations. Our experience is environmentally friendly, digital-first and underpinned by best-in-class family care. Visit earthfuneral.com to learn more.
That's where you come in. We're looking for empathetic, enthusiastic team members to guide families through end-of-life planning, helping them discover if Earth is the right choice for them. At Earth, you'll join a professional, passionate team, supporting a truly mission-driven company scale nationally.
About the Role
As a Care Advisor, you'll play a critical role in helping families choose Earth for their end-of-life arrangements. This is a quota-based sales position, designed for someone motivated to meet and exceed clear sales targets.
In this role, you will:
- Guide families compassionately through their end-of-life decisions, educating them on Earth's unique and sustainable services through online literature, tours, virtual meetings, and personalized phone consultations.
- Build expertise in both pre-need (planning ahead) and at-need (immediate need) arrangements, understanding and navigating the emotional sensitivities unique to each scenario.
- Maintain meticulous records in our CRM, managing 60-100+ daily calls, carefully documenting conversations, updating records accurately, and strategically nurturing relationships through thoughtful follow-up emails.
- Stay current on company policies, insurance licensing requirements, and federal regulations across multiple states, proactively ensuring compliance as Earth expands into new markets.
- Work a consistent schedule (typically Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm) that also includes periodic evening shifts (5pm–8pm), weekend rotations, and holiday coverage to maintain our commitment to exceptional family experience seven days a week.
Requirements
- 3+ years or more of professional sales experience
- Outstanding learning ability and self-motivation to succeed in an independent, self-directed work environment
- A proven track record of exceeding sales goals and managing pipeline effectively
- Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot or Salesforce preferred) is vital as we navigate our sales process through various software tools integrated with our CRM
- Confidence and a reassuring demeanor are critical in making families feel at ease and instilling trust in our service
- Reading comprehension and clear communication skills are essential for handling written documentation and asynchronous team interactions
- Position requires availability for evening, weekend and holiday rotational shifts
- When working remotely, a stable, high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace are essential. Additionally, proficiency with communication and productivity tools is crucial - you'll regularly use VOIP systems for calls, AI tools for workflow optimization, and Slack for team collaboration. As a technology startup, we rely heavily on software to deliver exceptional service, and your comfort navigating these platforms will be key to your success.
