Early Stage Compliance Startup Front-End Engineer Remote · Full time

As a Front-End Engineer, you will develop user interfaces using React, ensuring responsiveness and seamless integration with backend services. You will collaborate with product teams and backend developers to deliver a high-quality, modern user experience.


As a Front-End Engineer, you will be instrumental in building the user interfaces of our web applications. You will work with the product team to implement a streamlined UI/UX that feels modern and fits the needs of our users.

You will help ensure that our page is responsive and clean, solving implementation challenges as they arise and finding solutions amidst constraints. You will help maintain our front-end roadmap, highlighting blockers and challenges as they arise, as well as needs from the backend developers.

 You will work closely with back-end developers and product managers to ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience. Your role will initially focus on building out our core data model and implementing test-driven development processes.


  • Develop new user-facing features and optimize existing ones using React and other modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS).
  • Ensure the technical feasibility and responsiveness of UI/UX designs across a variety of browsers and devices.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to build robust, secure technology solutions that integrate seamlessly with our backend services hosted on GCP.
  • Engage in code reviews, maintain standard coding practices, and actively participate in testing and deployment cycles.
  • Optimize our application for maximum speed, scalability and responsiveness.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization and authentication mechanisms.
  • Participate in defining front-end architecture and coding standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient with JavaScript frameworks, especially React, as well as other front-end frameworks and languages.
  • Experience with Python (Django) or similar backend frameworks.
  • Experience with Terraform, and working knowledge of cloud services, preferably GCP.
  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git and modern front-end build tools.
  • A strong commitment to development best practices like detailed code review, test-driven development, infrastructure-as-code, code modularity, code standards (linting), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience working in agile-like sprints. Successful candidates will work together with product and leadership to achieve shared goals.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently, while maintaining a positive attitude with their peers.
  • This role will begin as primarily an individual contributor role with the possibility of taking on additional management responsibilities as we grow.

  • ANY experience in politics or a related field
  • Experience with GCP (if you have relevant experience with another cloud provider)

$120,000 - $140,000 per year
