Early Alpine Academy is hiring caring, energetic team members for our Alpen Glow Extended Care program. During this important end-of-day role, your number one responsibility is the children: actively engaging them in play, creating new and exciting activities each day, and making sure every child feels safe, joyful, and cared for during their time with you. Once the children are picked up, the focus shifts to closing down the space—cleaning, resetting, and preparing the environment for the next day. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, dependable, and excited to take ownership of both the fun and the function of the afternoon program.

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively supervise and engage children (ages 8 weeks–5 years) during extended care hours
  • Plan and lead daily age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, movement, and connection
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment for all children
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Support smooth transitions and daily routines with patience and positivity
  • Clean and tidy classrooms and shared spaces once children are dismissed, including:
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Spraying and deep cleaning toys
  • Wiping down surfaces
  • Doing dishes and taking out trash

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children ages 0–5 strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple age groups with attentiveness and care
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be current on vaccinations
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to complete every two years)
  • Willing and able to complete annual professional development through the Montana Early Childhood Provider Registry
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and actively participate in play and classroom transitions
