Job Description: As an HVAC Service Technician at Eagle Pipe Heating & Air, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients. You will work directly with customers to assess their needs, explain technical issues, and provide effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Service & Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and refrigeration units).

Installation: Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, thermostats, and other necessary components for both residential and commercial projects.

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. Change filters, clean coils, check refrigerant levels, and test system operations.

Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with customers, providing them with honest and transparent assessments of their HVAC systems, offering repair or replacement recommendations as needed.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and building codes. Ensure systems are functioning within manufacturer specifications and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, documenting all work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Provide detailed reports and update customer files in Service Titan.

Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of HVAC system failures and troubleshoot to provide efficient, long-lasting solutions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification in HVAC or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC service experience (residential or commercial)
- EPA Certification required
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically able to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and climb ladders
- Willingness to work on-call, evenings, and weekends if required
