A marine electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on ships and other marine vessels. They work with a wide range of electrical components, such as navigation systems, communication equipment, power distribution systems, and lighting. Required -

• 5yrs of experience working on shipboard electrical systems.
• Understands Navsea Standard items.
• Understands how to read drawings and schematics.
• Experience using a multimeter. (Continuity and IR Testing).
• Experience managing cable installation teams.
• Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Handling and splicing fiber optic cables (plus, but not required)
• Has experience assembling connectors.
• Has required tools to perform duties.
• Can gain access to various shipyards and government installations.
• Must be able to obtain a DBIDS
• Has or can obtains a secrete clearance. (plus, but not required)
