Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with IT, DevOps, Networking, and Product teams.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on security architecture, risk mitigation, and security best practices.


Security Engineering & Architecture

  • Utilize and optimize our partner platforms—including Axonius for asset management, Cyera for data security posture management, Upwind for cloud workload protection, Abnormal AI for email threat defense, and NinjaOne for endpoint visibility and management.
  • Design and implement secure infrastructure solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, PAM, and cloud security controls.
  • Develop and maintain secure network architectures for on-premises, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and hybrid environments.
  • Lead threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security solution deployments.
  • Oversee vulnerability management processes and ensure timely remediation of findings using available tooling integrations.


Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.).
  • Maintain and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Participate in internal/external audits and ensure compliance with organizational requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a team lead or senior role.
  • Strong experience with SIEM, firewalls, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, and cloud security platforms.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to become an expert in our partner platforms: Axonius, Cyera, Upwind, Abnormal AI, and NinjaOne.
  • Expertise in network security, application security, and secure architecture design.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC (GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, GCED), or cloud security certifications.
  • Experience automating security workflows using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipeline security, container security, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience leading cross-functional security initiatives in scaling or cloud-native environments.

Salary

$85,000 - $105,000 per year
