Jacobs Law is seeking a corporate-focused associate attorney to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in tax law as it relates to advanced planning and corporate transactions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a small firm setting, providing variety in daily tasks and promoting work-life harmony. Your daily practice will center on complex estate planning, estate administration, mergers and acquisitions, and business compliance.

We take a holistic approach to estate planning through collaboration with clients’ financial advisors, CPAs, and business advisors to ensure proper execution of goals for end-of-life and business planning.


Key Responsibilities

·     Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies related to tax planning and corporate transactions.

·     Draft and review documents related to mergers and acquisitions, business succession planning, entity formation, contracts, and compliance.

·     Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.


Qualifications

·     Strong interest and knowledge in tax law.

·     Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the Georgia State Bar.

·     LLM in taxation is preferred but not required.

·     Minimum of two years of experience in estate planning or corporate law.


Compensation and Benefits

·     Starting salary: $100,000

·     Benefits package, including bonus eligibility.
