Dwell is an audio-first Bible app, launched in 2018 by twin brothers Joshua and Jonathan Bailey. Most Bible apps are built for reading or study; ours is designed for listening. Today, Dwell has grown to more than 3 million installs, a 4.9-star rating in the iOS App Store, and an average rank in the mid-30s throughout 2026. We’re available wherever people listen—from iOS and Android to CarPlay, Android Auto, and Yoto. We’re a fully distributed team of 14 employees and more than 20 contractors.

Description

Dwell is hiring an Ad Creator with deep experience designing for performance channels: TikTok, Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, and beyond. We need someone who isn't a generalist designer adapting to advertising, but an ad expert who understands what works on each channel, stays on top of trends, and designs with strategic intent. You'll ship video and static ad creative weekly, working closely with our channel specialists. You'll report directly to me, Jonathan Bailey (Co-Founder, Head of Growth), and partner closely with Kyle Johnson (Meta Specialist, Apple Search Ads & Ad ROI Analyst) and our incoming TikTok Ads Specialist on briefs, channel strategy, and creative iteration.


What you'll own:


Ad production

  • Produce video ads (primary) and static ad creatives on a weekly basis.
  • Serve as the creative hub for the growth team, turning insights from channel specialists, ideas from leadership, performance data, and your own creative thinking into new ads and experiments.
  • Regularly connect with channel specialists to understand which messages, audiences, formats, and concepts are performing best.
  • Own the end-to-end creation process, including concept development, copywriting, design, CTAs, and links.
  • Deliver production-ready creative assets in platform-specific formats.


Platform expertise

  • Adapt designs to each platform's native format, audience, and performance patterns
  • Stay current on platform trends and algorithm shifts; bring strategic perspective to briefs
  • Understand intimately what's working on TikTok, Meta, Google, and Apple — and why


Sourcing and assembly

  • Source and assemble imagery from AI tools and stock libraries to match our brand


Communication and cadence

  • Weekly creative updates at our Tuesday Growth Meeting


Who you are:


  • 5+ years designing ads across TikTok, Meta, Google, and Apple Search Ads (portfolio required)
  • Deep platform expertise — you know what performs on each channel and can articulate why
  • Video production skills: After Effects, Capcut, or similar; you move fast
  • Design proficiency: Figma, Adobe Suite, or equivalent
  • Ability to source imagery from AI generators and stock libraries
  • Trend awareness — you stay on top of what's working and what's stale
  • Fast turnaround mindset — comfortable with a weekly delivery cadence
  • Brand-voice discipline — follow guidelines while staying creative and fresh
  • AI-friendly — you see AI as a tool that multiplies good human judgment, not a replacement for it
