Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of licensing, credentials, and insurance for healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to stay abreast of evolving state and federal regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Provide expert guidance in developing and refining internal credentialing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proactively monitor license and credential expiration dates, providing timely reminders to staff members.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance practices.


Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System Database Administrator Duties:

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, offering insights and recommendations to relevant authorities.
  • Develop and implement robust policies and procedures for the credentialing program, promoting consistency and transparency.
  • Verify providers' identification and meticulously manage credential information with utmost accuracy.
  • Oversee the Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) database, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Coordinate fee-exempt DEA and NPI registrations, facilitating seamless integration with organizational processes.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to organize materials for committees and support cross-functional initiatives.


Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in credentialing and privileging practices, with a proven track record of success.
  • In-depth knowledge of state medical boards and certification requirements, coupled with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, enabling effective resolution of intricate credentialing issues.
  • Familiarity with AF healthcare directives, coupled with proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in automated data systems, with hands-on experience in database management preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of direct experience in credentialing within a healthcare setting.

Health Care Requirements:

  • Report to the 27 SOMDG Public Health offices for a comprehensive briefing on the Employee Health Program.
  • Current CPR Certification is mandatory for all staff members.


Work Schedule & Location:

  • This position requires in-person presence from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.


Salary

$37,689 - $47,195 per year
