LEAD COACH

Full Time, Salaried | 30 Hours per Week | Primarily Virtual | Certified Life Coach Required


Reports To: Chef Mission Officer

Location: Hybrid (In person & Remote).

Coaching Format: Weekly group coaching and weekly 1:1 sessions

ABOUT THIS ROLE


The Lead Coach is the primary coaching presence in Dream Center Indianapolis's Life Coaching System. This person delivers both group and 1:1 coaching to participants, building consistent, trusted relationships that drive real outcomes: certification, savings, and career development.


Coaching Format: This role delivers coaching through a combination of a weekly group session and weekly 1:1 sessions for additional support. This is not a rigid, one-size-fits-all schedule, it flexes with Pathway System needs.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Group Coaching

- Deliver weekly virtual group teaching and coaching sessions to participants within a cohort

- Create a group environment that feels safe, encouraging, and consistent with Dream Center's coaching approach

- Adjust group session focus and pacing based on where the cohort is in her journey

- Use group sessions to build peer connection and shared accountability among participants


2. 1:1 Coaching

- Deliver weekly 1:1 coaching sessions, virtually, to individual participants as needed

- Open sessions with celebrations and follow the Dream Center coaching structure: celebrations, review last week, current challenge, next step, encouragement close

- Help participants set and pursue their three core goals: certification, savings, and career devleopment

- Support participants in identifying and working through the real obstacles that get in the way of her goals

- Stay present and flexible when life disrupts the plan, know when to hold the goals and when to simply show up


3. Participant Progress Tracking

- Submit a brief session report after each session — date, focus, action item, any concerns or milestones

- Maintain up-to-date records of participant goals, progress, and session notes in Dream Center's tracking system (ETO)

- Track attendance and flag missed sessions promptly so the team can follow up

- Identify participants at risk of disengaging and communicate concerns to leadership early

- Monitor milestone progress — certification, savings, and employment — and flag achievements for reporting


4. Collaboration & Escalation

- Communicate regularly with the Program Director about caseload, participant needs, and any concerns

- Escalate immediately when a participant's situation exceeds coaching scope: mental health crisis, safety concern, housing emergency

- Coordinate with other team members during high-enrollment periods when caseload support is needed

- Participate in required virtual team meetings for strategic updates and participant review


5. Coaching/Teaching Content & Resource Creation

- Short teaching videos on core coaching topics for participants to revisit

- Spotting gaps where a resource or support space doesn't exist yet, and building it

- Reusable materials that reinforce group and 1:1 sessions

- Support spaces for encouragement outside of scheduled sessions


QUALIFICATIONS


Required:

- Active life coaching certification

- 3-5 years of direct coaching or related experience working with individuals on personal and professional goals

- Experience delivering both group and 1:1 coaching

- Demonstrated experience working with women navigating poverty, workforce barriers, or major life transitions

- Strong relationship-building skills: warm, consistent, reliable, and able to establish trust quickly, in both group and individual settings

- Ability to manage a coaching caseload with organization, care, and consistent follow-through

- Comfort with documentation and session tracking

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Comfort with virtual coaching via Zoom and digital tools for tracking and communication

- Alignment with Dream Center Indianapolis's mission, values, and faith-informed culture
