ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Coach brings warmth, consistency, and real coaching experience to Dream Center Indianapolis's Life Coaching System. The coach steps into this role as a familiar, trusted presence, hosting a weekly evening group coaching session and staying available for 1:1 calls as participants need them.

This is a part-time, hourly, evening role that works closely with and is supported by the Lead Coach. It's built for someone who already knows how to hold space for a room of women working toward big goals, and who can show up one-on-one when a participant needs extra support between group sessions.

Coaching Format: This role centers on one weekly evening group coaching session. Beyond that, the Coach keeps open calendar time available for 1:1 calls, which participants can use as needed rather than on a fixed weekly schedule.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Group Coaching

- Host one weekly evening group coaching session for participants within a cohort

- Create a group environment that feels safe, encouraging, and consistent with Dream Center's coaching approach

- Adjust group session focus and pacing based on where the cohort is in their journey

- Use group sessions to build peer connection and shared accountability among participants

2. 1:1 Coaching

- Maintain open calendar availability for 1:1 coaching calls, virtually, as needed by participants

- Open sessions with celebrations and follow the Dream Center coaching structure: celebrations, review last week, current challenge, next step, encouragement close

- Help participants stay connected to their three core goals: certification, savings, and $20/hr (ore more) employment

- Support participants in identifying and working through the real obstacles that get in the way of their goals

- Stay present and flexible when life disrupts the plan, know when to hold the goals and when to simply show up

3. Participant Progress Tracking

- Submit a brief session report after each session — date, focus, action item, any concerns or milestones

- Maintain up-to-date records of participant goals, progress, and session notes in Dream Center's tracking system (ETO)

- Track attendance and flag missed sessions promptly so the team can follow up

- Identify participants at risk of disengaging and communicate concerns to leadership early

- Monitor milestone progress — certification, savings, and employment — and flag achievements for reporting

4. Collaboration & Escalation

- Communicate regularly with the Lead Coach and Program Director about participant needs and any concerns

- Escalate immediately when a participant's situation exceeds coaching scope: mental health crisis, safety concern, housing emergency

- Coordinate with the Lead Coach and other team members during high-enrollment periods when additional support is needed

- Participate in required virtual team meetings for strategic updates and participant review

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Demonstrated experience coaching or holding space for women navigating poverty, workforce barriers, or major life transitions

- Experience delivering both group and 1:1 coaching

- Strong relationship-building skills: warm, consistent, reliable, and able to establish trust quickly, in both group and individual settings

- Ability to manage coaching responsibilities with organization, care, and consistent follow-through

- Comfort with documentation and session tracking

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Comfort with virtual coaching via Zoom and digital tools for tracking and communication

- Alignment with Dream Center Indianapolis's mission, values, and faith-informed culture
