Woodland Family Dental is looking to add an additional Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to our incredible growing team. Our office likes to have fun together and make the most of our days, while providing the highest quality of care. Woodland Family Dental strives to put our dental families’ needs first and give back with our Community Outreach days: Free Veteran's Day, and Give Kids a Smile every year. You'll help assist our dentists’ decisions on the best treatment for teeth or gum disease. You should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination.
  • Sterilize dental instruments properly.
  • Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history.
  • Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis.
  • Clean and help protect patients' teeth by removing plaque, calculus, and applying fluoride.
  • Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques).
  • Take necessary x-rays or dental impressions.
  • Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer).
  • Maintain accurate charts on each patient and charting existing restorations.

SKILLS:


  • Active Idaho Registered Dental Hygienist License.
  • 1 year of RDH experience.
  • License to administer local anesthetic
  • Good computer skills. (EagleSoft experience is a plus!)
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of
  • professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and people skills

Salary

$40 - $43 per hour
