Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage Firm Calendar and assure there are no double bookings, and all necessary appointments and dates are scheduled to the calendar.
  • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
  •  Ensure client billing is processed properly using daily time records
  • Arrange travel, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events.
  • Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents as needed.
  • Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
  • Arrange travel, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
  • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs
  • Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
  • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills


Salary

$50,000 - $55,000 per year
