Dordick Law Corporation, a mid-sized personal injury law firm, is seeking an experienced Receptionist to manage the front desk of our downtown office and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will be the first point of contact for clients, guests, and visitors to our firm. Our practice is primarily focused on catastrophic personal injury, negligence, product defect and road design. This is not a remote or hybrid position. You must be willing and able to work at our downtown Los Angeles office.


As a receptionist at Dordick Law, you'll be working with an exceptionally talented team of dedicated legal practitioners. Your duties will include offering administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants; answering and redirecting phone calls; ordering office meals and supplies; welcoming guests; receiving, scanning, and distributing mail; and maintaining the overall appearance of the office. This is a customer service role- you should be able to deal with routine tasks and emergencies in a timely, pleasant, and effective manner while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, your job is to ensure that whether in person or by phone we are welcoming guests warmly and executing all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.   • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure public areas are tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Order office supplies, snacks and meals, and keep an inventory of stock
  • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
  • Opportunity to take on additional legal secretarial tasks if you have/develop the necessary skills


  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
