A Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a company's financial transactions, from recording daily transactions to producing financial statements. This role requires a high level of proficiency in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Entries: Record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and payroll, using accounting software or manual methods.
  2. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure that all transactions are accurately reflected in the company's accounts.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and payments. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  4. Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for employees, including tax withholding and benefits administration.
  5. Financial Reporting: Generate financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health.
  6. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning and decision-making.
  7. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  8. Documentation: Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reference.


  • Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, although relevant experience may suffice.
  • Experience: Typically, several years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial principles and accounting software.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
