Description

Dluxe Construction is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team! The Project Manager will oversee pre-construction and construction for a variety of interior remodeling projects (bathrooms, kitchens, etc.), as well as occasionally exterior remodels.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee in-person each project from start to finish
  • Review architectural drawings for coordination and completion
  • Coordinator supplies, materials, equipment and crews for each project
  • Explaining of contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner
  • Communication with customer as to current schedule, deadlines, and progress
  • Report project progress and budget to client
  • Resolves contractual issues that arise with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, foreman, laborers, and other trades
  • Negotiating and coordinating subcontractor agreements
  • Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities
  • Interacting with inspectors and obtaining necessary approvals
  • Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
  • Managing project foreman and related staff
  • Scheduling work of all trades and suppliers
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables
  • Reports to management budgets and timelines
  • Attend regular meetings including sales and general weekly meetings
  • Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
  • Become role model for the company culture



QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Prior experience in construction and remodeling industry
  • Working knowledge of general construction computer programs (Monday.com, QuickBooks, Calendars, etc.)
  • Strong technical understanding of construction and architectural design
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the construction sites
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and working cell phone



Construction Manager education and training requirements

Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, engineering or a related field to be considered for this job. A master’s degree in a construction-related concentration is an added advantage, but not necessary. project management or construction management certifications, especially a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification are a Plus.


Construction Manager experience requirements

A quality candidate should have at least 3 years on-job experience in a verifiable construction project. Ideally, the candidate should also possess managerial skills acquired while working under a Contractor, Construction Manager or another expert in the construction industry. Previous experience as a Contractor, Architect or Engineer in a construction project is a plus. An in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, building and safety compliance and sound financial estimation skills are a must.

$55,000 - $100,000 per year
