Senior Event Manager will produce and organize events that will impact a target audience. You will ensure events are planned and executed successfully and cost-effectively, paying attention to budget and time constraints. A Senior Event Manager is a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. An enthusiastic candidate with fresh ideas and organizational skills is required to prevent leaving any components of an event to chance. Strategy/Creative:

• Lead clients through the event management process to determine objectives

• Assist with the development of event proposals based on client objectives

• Create engaging event themes that adhere to client’s objectives

• Research, produce and pitch proposals for events

• Execute the sales and marketing strategy

Responsibilities

• Prepares and manages all event documentation and inventory and coordinates with sales, property departments, and customer to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of property events

• This position primarily handles complex events

• Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by up selling and offering enhancements throughout the planning process to create outstanding events

• Solve problems, address complaints, and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements if necessary for your client

• Identifies operational challenges associated with his/her group and works with the property staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions

• Manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs

• Lead pre/post-event meetings as required to review/communicate group needs and feedback

• Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures

• Celebrates successes and officially recognizes the contributions of team members

• Up-sells products and services throughout the event process

• Reviews billing and payments with clients

• Provide Exceptional Customer Service

• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels

• Makes presence always known to customer during entire event process

• Greets customer during the event phase and hands-off to the Event Operations team for the execution of details

• Strives to improve service performance

• Sets a positive example for guest relations

• Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with customer (internal and external) regarding event details

• Assisting in the daily growth and development of our company

• Face-to-face sales and events of services to new business prospects

• Drive sales and process customer orders for events

• Developing strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Manage inventory, events, and sales paperwork

• Prepare materials for events (sales materials, giveaways, marketing materials, etc.)

• Set-up and tear down events

• Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives

• Produce suggestions to enhance the event’s success

• Prepare budgets and ensure adherence

• Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers

• Coordinate all operations

• Lead promotional activities for events

• Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)

• Approve all aspects before the day of the event

• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur – on-site working at event

• Analyze the event’s success, prepare reports, and follow up with customer post-event

• Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, report on key accounts, deliver prompt, and sound decisions



Skills

• Proven experience as event manager

• Skilled in project management

• Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management

• Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office

• Outstanding communication and negotiation ability

• Excellent organizational skills

• BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred

Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year
