We are seeking a seasoned, creative, and detail-oriented Event Manager to lead event strategy, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Event Planning & Execution
- Lead the planning and execution of events aligned with client goals and event objectives
- Coordinate logistics, including venue setup, vendor management, timelines, and event flow
- Prepare and manage event materials, documentation, and inventory
- Monitor budgets and ensure adherence to financial plans
- Ensure timely execution of all deliverables and milestones
Client Experience
- Serve as primary client contact for assigned events throughout the planning and execution phases
- Provide consistent, high-quality customer service before, during, and after events
- Attend and manage on-site execution of events, ensuring every detail is in place
- Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare wrap-up reports
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Oversee communication and coordination with venues, caterers, entertainment, A/V, décor, etc.
- Ensure timely approvals and align all components with client expectations
Operations Support
- Maintain accurate and organized event records
- Support event setup, teardown, and logistics management
- Identify challenges and propose solutions to maintain event quality and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth hand-offs and updates
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of event planning/management experience (non-profit or corporate events preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Skilled in project management and multi-tasking
- Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously without compromising quality
- Enthusiastic team player who thrives in collaborative environments
- Committed to excellence and client satisfaction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management platforms
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods during events
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle, laptop, and smartphone
- Weekend and evening availability required based on event schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Tech-savvy; fast learner on new technologies, applications and systems
- Nonprofit or fundraising event experience
