Diverse Health is a woman- and BIPOC-led virtual healthcare platform committed to delivering culturally competent, tech-enabled primary care and mental health services to underserved communities across the U.S. We operate in over 30 states with a diverse team of 50+ clinicians and growing.


Role Overview

We are seeking mission-driven Community Outreach Interns to help us build relationships with local organizations, university campuses, and service providers in the areas we serve. The intern will play a key role in connecting patients to trusted referral options and strengthening the reach of our community-based care model.

This is a great opportunity for students pursuing degrees in public health, health administration, community health, or social work who are passionate about health equity and real-world systems change.


What You’ll Do

  • Research and identify local community organizations, campus services, and referral partners
  • Assist in establishing relationships with community groups, student orgs, nonprofits, and local providers
  • Maintain an internal resource/referral database by location
  • Help connect patients to support services outside of clinical care (e.g., food access, social services, campus wellness programs)
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with our clinical and care coordination teams
  • Track outreach activities and report on progress weekly


What You Bring

  • Interest in healthcare equity, public health, or culturally responsive care
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work remotely during weekday hours (flexible around school schedules)
  • Bonus: Experience with community-based outreach, student leadership, or social services
