District DabbleLab is an arts + crafts studio, and an all around place to "dabble", specializing in hands-on exploratory art classes for children, adults and anyone looking to craft with an array of different materials…a place to gather with friends and strangers to let go of stress and have fun. We offer events, parties, and workshops for all ages. We also have a retail boutique that sells creative gifts and items for everyone!

District DabbleLab is hiring enthusiastic, energetic team members who love talking with people, making kids laugh, helping families have an amazing experience, and jumping into whatever the day brings.

This isn't your typical retail job. One hour you might be helping someone pick out the perfect gift, the next you're cheering on a birthday party, assisting with a craft project, or helping guests create something they'll be excited to take home.

What You'll Be Doing

Every shift is different, but you may:

• Welcome customers into our shop and studio with genuine enthusiasm.
• Help guests during our Make + Take crafting experience.
• Host birthday parties and celebrate alongside our guests.
• Lead games, encourage creativity, and keep the energy high.
• Help children feel included, confident, and excited.
• Assist customers shopping in our retail store.
• Set up and reset party rooms and craft stations.
• Keep the studio organized, stocked, and looking beautiful.
• Jump in wherever help is needed to create an exceptional experience.

You're Probably a Great Fit If You...

• Can naturally entertain and engage a room full of kids.
• Enjoy being active and staying busy throughout your shift.
• Are dependable and always ready to jump in.
• Notice what needs to be done without waiting to be asked.
• Stay positive and calm when things get busy.
• Believe no task is beneath you, whether it's helping a customer, sweeping glitter, or tying balloons.
• Work well as part of a close-knit team.

You do not need to be an artist. We'll teach you everything you need to know about our projects. What matters most is your personality, energy, and ability to make every guest feel welcome.

Ideal Backgrounds

We'd especially love to hear from people with experience in:

• Retail
• Summer camps
• Birthday parties or event hosting
• Childcare or babysitting
• Preschool or education
• Hospitality
• Customer service
• Recreation programs
• Cheer, theater, dance, or other performance experience

Schedule

Part-time with flexible hours, mainly weekends.

Weekend availability is a must since most birthday parties take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Afternoon and evening availability during the week is also a plus.
