Responsibilities:

  1. Exhibits a high level understanding of technical requirements, procedures and principles
  2. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of specialized industry and/or regulatory requirements
  3. Helps to manage and monitor preparation and review of complex S Corporation, C Corporation, partnership, not-for-profit, multistate and individual tax returns, including projections, IRS Account Monitoring and estimate calculations
  4. Manage, monitor, prepare, and review tax projections
  5. Manage, monitor, prepare, and review tax planning and strategy
  6. Ensuring that all tax filings are completed accurately and submitted on time to the relevant authorities.
  7. Keeping up-to-date with changes to tax laws and regulations and ensuring that the company remains compliant.
  8. Providing advice and guidance to other departments within the company on tax-related matters.
  9. Managing relationships with external tax advisors and ensuring that their services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  10. Reviews and advises on technical research memorandum
  11. Researches and reviews work papers for various book to tax differences
  12. Ability to apply relevant tax law to particular clients and circumstances
  13. Identifies area of specialization and is continuously refining skills, knowledge and expertise
  14. Collaborates with others to provide quality service to clients
  15. Engages in professional and efficient communication with clients
  16. Leads client meetings
  17. Promotes additional services to client when appropriate
  18. Develops intimate knowledge of clients and their business activities
  19. Communicates with the IRS and other state authorities in a professional manner when applicable
  20. Effectively delegates responsibility providing proper instructions, monitoring and coaching
  21. Conducts training for associates
  22. Manages projects by scheduling associates, tracking completion and managing the budget
  23. Maintains open communication with team regarding the progress of completion on projects
  24. Participates actively in training and developmental opportunities, both as an attendee and as a facilitator
  25. Manages all aspects of billing, including client inquiries
  26. Develops appropriate fee quotes for new tax engagements
  27. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  28. Knowledge of / learn the company mission, vision, and values.


Qualifications:

  1. Accounting Undergraduate Degree Required, Masters Preferred
  2. CPA required and preferred
  3. 5+ years of tax experience is required
  4. Advanced knowledge of Federal and income tax laws and principles of individual and business taxation is required
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  7. Strong project management and delegation skills
