The Accounting Manager is responsible for general ledger accounting and reporting of the firm’s finances.

Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Functions in various capacities including Controller, CFO, or Project Leader for clients
  2. Demonstrates an ability to manage multiple client stakeholders simultaneously
  3. Prepares miscellaneous accounting reports
  4. Participates and leads various ad hoc projects
  5. Overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
  6. Ensuring that financial records are accurate, complete, and comply with accounting principles and standards.
  7. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
  8. Managing relationships with external auditors and ensuring that their services are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  9. Oversees all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
  10. Demonstrates an ability to perform due diligence procedures for clients
  11. Prepare budgets for clients
  12. Conduct Budget to Actual analysis
  13. Assists clients with SEC Reporting
  14. Resolves complex accounting issues, and assist clients with implementation of new accounting pronouncements including ASC606 and ASC842
  15. Other duties as required
  16. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  17. Knowledge of / learn the company mission, vision, and values.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting preferred
  • Five (5) or more years related experience, required
  • Experience working with public, private or private equity companies, required
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or SAP, required
  • Professional services industry experience, preferred
  • Public Accounting experience, preferred
  • Experience with MS Excel at advanced level, preferred
  • CPA, preferred
